MISSION STATEMENT

Cardinal Clinic is committed to developing, evaluating, and implementing an array of services addressing the individual needs of seriously troubled children and adolescents, their families, and adults. We are also committed to providing these services through strong collaborative relationships with referral agencies and managed care entities and to developing new programs and services that meet the needs of the community. We value:

  • Caring – The client’s needs come first. Each staff member’s top priority is to enhance the quality of life for clients and their families.
  • Collaboration –We are only part of the solution. Working closely with other service providers and referral sources, we develop integrated plans based on a shared understanding of the problems, strengths, and goals of each client and his or her family.
  • Comprehensive Responsibility – The obligation of our program is to accept responsibility for treatment of clients and to revise and adjust services using innovative approaches when appropriate. Giving up is never one of our options.
  • Consumer Satisfaction – It is important that the young person or adult, his or her family, and referral agencies feel that progress is being made. We monitor outcome measures to identify strengths, needs, and areas for possible quality improvements.
  • Education – Our program provides a range of services designed to enhance the client’s ability to acquire and utilize the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to maximize opportunities to make school and/or work a meaningful, productive, and satisfying experience.
  • Effective Treatment – We closely monitor progress in treatment. Changes are made to meet the individual’s needs. We believe that enlisting the aid and involvement of the client’s family in treatment is vital in maximizing treatment effectiveness.
  • Normalization – Our program designs services which promote integration into situations of living and interacting which are as normal and normalizing as possible for the client consistent with the client's own ability to cope and profit from them.
  • Respect and Dignity – We treat all persons in an ethical manner, with dignity and respect. We attempt to be sensitive to individual needs and build treatment upon the client’s strengths. We value and seek to exhibit cultural sensitivity.
  • Safety – We seek to provide a physically and emotionally safe environment.
  • Staff Training – Training is viewed as essential to the provision of empirically sound clinical intervention.
  • Teamwork – This is achieved through a staff committed to working closely together, communicating openly, supporting one another, and encouraging the best work from everyone.
